A name and a blessing

Katelyn was blessed on the 2nd with a beautiful blessing by her Daddy. In the circle was: Spencer, Grandpa Mark, Abuelo, Nate, Spencer Carlson, Grandpa Swenson and Grandpa Keele. Our neighbor Sis. Thomas surprised me after Sacrament meeting with some notes that she had taken during the blessing. She wrote down the things that Spencer blessed her with specifically. Katelyn herself was really mad through all of Sacrament meeting and most of the lunch but was a perfect angel during the actual blessing.

After the blessing we got together at the nearby church's pavilion for a lunch and right as we pulled up to the pavilion it stared pouring... and I do mean POURING! My first instinct was to pack everyone in our apartment but Grandma Julie helped me calm down and told me it would still work out under the pavilion so that no one would get wet. She was right, of course, not to mention the rain only lasted about half an hour anyway.

We served sandwiches, chips, watermelon, a few sweet things and home made root beer. Everything tasted delicious and it was the perfect amount of food.

^^I forgot to take a picture of the centerpieces by themselves but they worked out great to keep the tablecloths in place when the wind picked up a little^^

^^These two goobers wanted a picture as if Katelyn was their daughter. Spencer told Nathan that he needs to haze his trainees on the mission by putting this picture up and trying to convince them that this is actually his daughter^^

^^The Little Guy had a blast! there were a lot of older kids that loved playing with him and he just got to run around in the wet grass and play (thanks to the fact that I was busy trying to keep Katelyn happy and decided to just let the Little Guy have his fun)^^

 ^^Four generation picture^^

^^This is probably my favorite picture from the day. It was one of the few times when she was actually happy while not in my arms^^

^^Spencer and Nate juggling pine cones and using Veronica as an obstacle^^

By a huge oversight we didn't do a family picture for the Little Guy's blessing so I made sure that we had one this time around

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it out. It was so wonderful to see how much love our children have. A special thanks to my mom, Julie and Laura that helped get everything together. An extra special thanks to Grandma Julie for the beautiful blessing dress, she looked like a little angel
